Decades of Deceit – Author and investigative journalist Carey Gillam and Baum Hedlund lawyer Pedram Esfandiary discuss their respective work involving the revelations of decades of corporate corruption surrounding the marketing by Monsanto Co. of a popular weed killing product suspected to cause cancer.  Gillam will discuss her years of work gathering documents from US regulatory agencies for her award-winning book about the company and its herbicide. Esfandiary will discuss the mass litigation involving more than 18,000 plaintiffs who are suing the former Monsanto Co., now a subsidiary of Bayer AG, over allegations that the company’s formulated herbicides cause non-Hodgkin lymphoma and the company has covered up the risks.
